PICKING THE APARTMENT FOR YOUR NEEDS
I AM TRAVELING FOR BUSINESS AND NEED SPACE TO WORK, WHAT IS THE BEST APARTMENT TO PICK?
If you are traveling for business and looking for a desk or workspace in your apartment, our two bedroom + office guarantees a separate workspace for dedicated work from home time. Alternatively, all apartments feature a tabletop that could double as workspace.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Yes, Smithe House is a pet-friendly hotel. Pet-friendly stays can be added to any booking for $50 per night + applicable taxes. This can be confirmed when making your reservation online or by contacting us [hello@smithehouse.com] in advance of your arrival.
ARE YOU FAMILY FRIENDLY?
Absolutely! Smithe House welcomes guests of all ages. Our deluxe two-bedroom apartments and family apartments are perfect for families, offering plenty of space and private bedrooms. The deluxe two-bedroom apartments include two bathrooms (one with a bathtub), while the family apartments feature fun bunk beds.
Say goodbye to cramped hotel rooms or needing to request adjoining spaces – we’ve got you covered! If you need a high chair, diaper pail, or crib, just let us know before your arrival, and we’ll make sure it’s ready for you.
SERVICES & AMENITIES
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY TECH POWERED STAY?
Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you a link to complete a quick security check. After that, you’ll get access to your personal digital guest portal. This portal includes everything you need for your stay: details about your suite, curated neighborhood guides, and a messaging feature to connect with our host team anytime.
24 hours before check-in, your digital key code will appear in the portal, allowing you to access your suite at check-in time and come and go as you please – no physical key required! It’s all designed to make your stay seamless and hassle-free.
WHAT IF I REQUIRE ASSISTANCE DURING MY STAY?
Our digital guest portal provides you with a helpful FAQ guide to your apartment and the neighbourhood, plus direct support with our host team through the chat feature.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING ONSITE?
Yes, Smithe House has secure onsite self-parking available for $30 per night + applicable taxes. This can be confirmed when making your reservation online or by contacting us in advance of your arrival.
DO YOU HAVE A GYM ONSITE?
Yes, Smithe House has a gym located on the third floor available 24hours. The gym features free weights, a treadmill, elliptical, and two stationary bikes.

WHAT ARE THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
Smithe House check-in is 4pm and check out is 11am. We’re happy to
accommodate requests for early check-in or late check-out based on availability;
additional fees apply.
DO YOU RATE MATCH?
Yes. We strive to offer the best rates right here on our website. However, if you find a lower rate for the same room type and dates elsewhere, let us know at hello@smithehouse.com, and we’ll be happy to help.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
When you book directly on our website, most reservations come with a 48-hour cancellation policy. However, please review the terms of your selected rate, as policies can vary. Cancellation windows do not apply to non-refundable rate plans.

DO YOU OFFER BETTER RATES FOR LONGER STAYS?
Yes! The longer you stay, the better the rate. Our best rates are available right here on our website, and discounts for extended stays are automatically applied based on your selected dates – no promo code needed.

CAN YOU INVOICE MY COMPANY OR INSURANCE PROVIDER DIRECTLY?
Yes, we’re happy to set up direct billing with your company if you’re staying on business or with your insurance provider if you’re seeking temporary accommodations as a result of an insurance claim.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BOOKING SMITHE HOUSE OVER A FURNISHED RENTAL APARTMENT?
At Smithe House, you get the best of both worlds: the comfort of a fully furnished apartment and the personalized service of a hotel. Unlike traditional rentals, you can book for as few or as many nights as you need—no 90-day minimum stay or long-term lease required. Your stay also includes utilities, cable, WiFi, bi-weekly housekeeping, and friendly support to help make your time in Vancouver seamless and enjoyable.
DO I NEED TO PAY UTILITIES?
No, all stays include utilities, cable and WiFi. Stays longer than 30 nights are also
tax exempt.
